The intent of this book is to provide a resource for industrial engineers, managers, researchers and students about the evaluation and justification of advanced technologies. It provides a broad overview of the fundamentals and current topics of research developed to the point of implementation by industries. It also describes newly developed models and, through actual case studies, illustrate how to implement them. Lastly, this book will assist businesses in their decisions to invest in newly developing technologies.
The focus of the book is on evaluation and justification. It will extend methods previously used by including and emphasizing the service industry's viewpoint on advanced technologies.
