Editorial Reviews
Review
Well written and informative, CCTV is intended for installers, sales personnel, security managers, consultants, and manufacturers. Damjanovski does an excellent job of explaining the technical issues that a novice would have trouble following, such as the pulses used in charge-coupled devices for transferring charges.

...the book is well written and highly informative. Anyone seeking in-depth knowledge on CCTV will find it a worthwhile investment in terms of both time and money.

"Vlado Damjanovski was hoping his revised edition of CCTV would become the "CCTV bible" for people trying to understand and design a surveillance system. The depths to which the author goes to in his 12 subject areas ensures his authoritative 370-plus page book/manual achieves that and more. Damjanovski is renowned as an authority on CCTV and a recent talk he gave at the Rexel Dealer Conference in Adelaide in March had delegates baying for more.
In-depth, authoritative, simple to understand, less-reliant on jargon means the reader needs only basic logic and technical understanding to find value in the information contained in CCTV. Damjanovski has attempted to encompass the theory and practice of all components and fundamentals of closed-circuit television involving various disciplines and products from electronics, telecommunications and optics to fibre optics, digital image processing and programming.
Inspiration for the book, first published in 1995, came from people at several seminars who had told Damjanovski there was a dearth of such information.
The book is littered with helpful hints, suggestions, check lists, tables, system designs and newly-tested video test chart. The book covers: transmission of images over telephone lines, fibre optics, video recorders and a brief history, digital storage of images, video processing equipment, understanding customer requirements, cameras, the basics of digital storage, and, the basics of television. Just a teaspoon of what's included in CCTV.
CCTV allows the reader access to Damjanovski's vast experience and extensive and comprehensive research he has conducted in this growing segment of the electronic security market.
The first edition was sold out and proof Damjanovski is on his way to achieving his eventual aim with CCTV. - Security Australia
CCTV is worth the money for anyone involved in the CCTV industry, including designers, installers, sales staff, security managers, consultants, and manufacturers. - Security Insider
