About the Author
Prior to his retirement David Flux was a practising accountant in Hong Kong as Tax Partner with KPMG Peat Marwick (now KPMG). For more than thirty years he was a tax specialist with the Inland Revenue in the UK. Working in the accounting profession in the UK and Hong Kong. Additionally he lectured often on tax matters and wrote for international tax journals.
David G. Smith is a practising accountant in Hong Kong as a partner with KPMG. He has been a specialist in the tax field for twenty years. He is a member of the Hong Kong Society of Accountants, the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants and the Taxation Institute of Australia. He is a committee member of the Hong Kong branch of the International Fiscal Association and the Joint Liaison Committee on Taxation. He is a regular speaker on tax matters.
