Focuses upon revised Articles 3 and 4 and new Article 4A in the 1990 Official Text of the Uniform Commercial Code. In addition, the Expedited Funds Availability Act, the Federal Reserve Regulation CC, and other related laws are treated where relevant in the revised text. Finally, cases were selected with an eye to the transition from the old to the revised UCC and problems that require the understanding and application of the new law.
About the Author
The Robert A. Sullivan Professor of Law at the University of Michigan Law School. He graduated from Amherst College magna cum laude, and from the University of Michigan Law School. He was on the University of Michigan Law Review, and Order of the Coif. Professor White has been a visiting Professor of Law at Wayne State University, Harvard University and Cornell University. He was the Reporter on the NCCUSL Drafting Committee to Revise UCC Article 5. In addition, he has written numerous books and articles in the fields of commercial law and bankruptcy. After law school, he practiced with Latham and Watkins in Los Angeles before becoming a member of the University of Michigan Law School faculty in 1964. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Law School Division of West Publishing Company.
