About the Author
Joe Willmore is president of the Willmore Consulting Group, a performance consulting firm located new Washington, D.C. He has more than 25 years' consulting experience with a wide range of organizations including the World Bank, Intelsat, Lockheed Martin, the U.S. Navy, Booz Allen Hamilton, and the Smithsonian Institution. He has served on ASTD's board of directors and held other leadership positions within ASTD and other professional societies. His work has taken him to Russia, Turkey, the Caribbean , and Central Asia. He currently serves as one of ASTD's facilitators for the HPI certificate series. Joe Willmore is the author of Managing Virtual Teams (Chandos Press, 2003) and was a contributor to What Smart Trainers Know (edited by Lorraine Ukens, Jossey-Bass/Pfeiffer, 2001) and HPI Essentials (edited by George Piskurich, ASTD, 2002). In addition, he has written numerous articles for ASTD's T+D magazine and other publications as well.
