Book Description

Thinking about learning at work is rapidly evolving. Productive Reflection and Learning at Work identifies the importance of reflection at work, tracing it from an emphasis on training, through a focus on how organizations learn, to a concern with the necessary learning that needs to occur for organizations and work groups to operate effectively today.

This book articulates a new, collective, focus on what it terms productive reflection. That is reflection that serves the needs of all those involved. A combination of theory and practice allows the importance of productivity to be addressed whilst satisfying the lived experience of productive work life. It points the way to a new focus on learning at work that critically takes account of the context of production while also meeting the desire of participants to have fulfilling and engaging experiences in the workplace.
