About the Author
Robert Nelson teaches music theory and composition at the Moores School of Music. A composer in residence and music director of the Houston Shakespeare Festival for 17 seasons, he has also received numerous commissions for compositions and arrangements for the Houston Symphony Orchestra. Carl J. Christensen holds BM, MM and DMA degrees from the Thornton School of the Music at the University of Southern California. He teaches instrumental music and music theory at Hartnell College in Salinas, California. Prior to accepting the position at Hartnell he was Principal Trombonist of the Mexico City Philharmonic. He is conductor of the Monterey Bay Symphony and Monterey Opera and is a frequent guest conductor of orchestras in Guatemala and Argentina.
