Book Description
Make informed business decisions with confidence as Financial Analysis helps you to understand the concepts and practical tools necessary for making effective financial decisions. The focus throughout is on the manager's role in meeting the company's goal of creating shareholder value. To increase the value of a company, a manager must make decisions that take return and risk into account. Value creation, and the role good analysis plays in making value-enhancing decisions, is the topic of this book. Through a readable and down-to-earth style, Diana H. Harrington helps managers understand and apply the financial concepts and tools essential for making sound business decisions. Equipped with this knowledge, managers can understand the financial implications of developing and introducing new products, expanding product lines, undertaking marketing strategies, investing in new processes and equipment, joining with other companies, and managing risk.
